Faye The Singing Alchemist CH1 PG5"You were singing! You were singing on stage!" Edward said looking confused. "How is that possible, your transmuted vocal cords could not have lasted that long.
"You're right again Edward, you are very perceptive." I said to him. "I'm not exactly sure how I do it, but it feels like my alchemy is pulling my voice from my soul."
"Faye." Mustang. I turned to look at him. "You said your sacrifice was your voice, why were you trying human transmutation?"
I looked at Roy Mustang with wide eyes. I could feel them start to burn as I tried to hold back the tears that wanted to pour down like a cascading waterfall.
"I had a twin sister, we were inseparable. Apparently that doesn't count in death." I looked down at the floor just as some tears escaped my eyes. I started to cough, it a was rough hard cough. I pulled my hand away from my mouth and it was covered in blood.
"Are you alright?!" Mustang rushed to my side and grabbed my arm. As soon as we touched our eyes locked and a vision came floodi
Faye The Singing Alchemist CH1 PG4"What did you just do?" Mustang asked as he pointed at my neck. I turned so he could see I had a transmutation circle tattooed on the back of my neck.
"You see I can't actually speak, I don't have any vocal cords. This transmutation gives my vocal cords, but they only last a few minutes before they collapse." Edward had walked over and was staring at me in astonishment. "What did you think of my transmutations?"
"It's a good show, you can move very gracefully." Mustang said and I could tell he wasn't imagining me fighting anyone. I turned to Edward waiting for his answer and he just looked away.
"Have you always been mute?" I was so taken aback by his question it took me a minute to realize why he was asking. "During the show you transmuted with out a circle."
"No, I wasn't always mute. That was the sacrifice I made for the transmutation. That's how I can transmute without a circle and how I drew this circle on my neck." I rubbed the back of my neck at that same moment, more out of hab
Faye The Singing Alchemist CH1 PG3After every show all the girls come out and find their callers. I tend to wait in the shadows hopping no one is left by the time they realize I'm even there. This night was different and as I looked over the crowd I saw two figures headed straight for me. I leaned against the dirty brick wall hoping to disappear when I realized who they were. Edward Elric and Roy Mustang were standing right in front of me and all I could do was stare at them with my mouth wide open.
"Hello there, I am Fuhrer Mustang," He stuck his hand out to shake mine and reluctantly pulled it away when I did not. "And this is Edward Elric. Madame Christmas sent us word of you and your... Talents. She said we should come and see it for ourselves."
They waited for me to say something, and I really wanted to. I had two problems, the first being at a loss of words and the other much more complicated.
"Yeah, thanks for the show. Now I'm outta here." Edward said as he started to turn and walk away, but st
Faye The Singing Alchemist CH1 PG2Now I can not entirely explain my situation with out it sounding completely insane. Let's just say when I sing it comes from my soul and with out alchemy it wouldn't be possible. It's almost as if my alchemy pulls my voice out from inside me. I can feel that pull as I sing. I take a long spin to the end of the stage right in front of Edward Elric and Roy Mustang. I clap my hands together and stomp my feet at the same exact moment creating a pole out of the the floor. Most people don't realize you can use your feet for alchemy; although it is less practical because you must be barefoot.
I swing myself around the pole and then I clap my hands together again. As I touch the pole it changes into a sword that I flip into the air. It flips over itself twice before separating into two swords. The metal gleams as they land right into my hands. Suddenly a flame shoots out of the crowd. I started spinning the swords like batons catching the flame in the wind created by them.

Working for Madame Christmas is not really ideal, though it does have it's connections. I found her bar in Xing one night when I was wandering the streets. She took me in as one of her own. The other girls don't mind me, although they don't particularly like me. Madame Chris had another bar in Central City, that had blown up under mysterious circumstances, the new one puts on more of a show. That's where I come in and where the others dislike stems from.
"Faye, are you ready dear?" Madame Chris questioned me, "The boys are here tonight, give 'em one hell of a show for me!"
I nodded and peeked out through the curtain to see the two men I had waited to see ever since I got here. One looked very disgruntled and uncomfortable, the other seemed pleased with himself. Madame Chris walked over to them and was insisting they move to the front. My heart started pounding hard in my chest as they edged closer to the stage. The two men sat right in front of the stage, so close that I could touch th
